The Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development and its National Services Scheme Cell has organised voluntary Blood Donation Camp on the occasion of National Sports Day and to commemorate the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav in collaboration with Government Hospital, Kanchipuram and ARAN, Non-governmental Organisation in Sriperumbudur on 29th August 2022 at its campus.
Prof. Dr. Sibnath Deb, the Director of RGNIYD inaugurated the voluntary Blood Donation Camp. In his inaugural address, he emphasized that there are many advantages in donating blood and saving life of hundreds of people in the society. He further added that people of the country should come forward and contribute for the benefit of the society by donating your blood.
Dr. Rambabu Botcha the Program Officer of NSS, RGNIYD appreciated all the registered donors for the blood donation camp, Dr. Thamarai Nangai from Government Hospital Kanchipuram and Mr Bala Prakash, Managing Trustee Aran explained various benefits of blood donation to the young people of the institute.
In total 70 people donated their blood including the Director of RGNIYD & his wife and some staff & students in the Voluntary Blood Donation Camp organised in RGNIYD campus.
