The department of Sociology observed Elimination of Violence against Women day on 29 th November.
On this occasion, a Sensitization Programme on Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013 was organised for the Faculty members, Staffs and Students of RGNIYD. Prof. Sibnath Deb, Director of RGNIYD delivered the inaugural address.
Dr. Vijayalakshmi, Director, B.Com.LLB (Hons.) School of Excellence of Law. Tamil Nadu Dr.. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai addressed the faculty members, and staff of RGNIYD in the forenoon where faculty members and students were sensitized and Ms. Sherin Bosk, Genereal Manager, Tamil Nadu Women’s helpline 181, addressed the Non teaching and outsourcing staff after noon effectively.
