The Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development conducted Placement Drive at its campus in Sriperumbudur on 13th July 2022. More than a dozen organisations have taken part in the Placement Drive from different parts of the country which includes Jaipur Rugs from Rajasthan, SoS Children’s Villages from New Delhi, CrescenDo Educational Innovations from Kerala, Sevalaya, Chennai, International Foundation Crime Prevention and Victim Care, Chennai, Don Bosco Migrant Services, Chennai etc. During the Inaugural Session of Placement Drive, Prof. Sibnath Deb, the Director of the Institute mentioned that the Students of RGNIYD have enormous potential to work in various segments of the youth development sector such as Social Work, Counselling Psychology, Development Policy & Practice and Local Governance & Development. Dr. Rambabu Botcha, Placement Officer presented 95 students of four different departments to the recruiters. In his speech he mentioned that the students of RGNIYD has trained and tuned in line with the National Youth Policy 2014 and Draft National Youth Policy 2021 which directs to produce productive workforce by unlocking the potential of the dynamic young people of the country towards a strong nation building. On 13th July 2022, the above mentioned organisations recruited and nearly 40 students have received offers from various organisations. Students expressed their happiness for participating in the interviews with various organisations and companies and receiving offers with a good package. The Placement Drive continues up to 30th July 2022.
